Welcome to So-Brite Inc. (“So-Brite”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). So-Brite Inc. developed the So Brite mobile application (“App”), an open-source application. This service is provided free of charge by so-brite.com and is available “as-is”.

This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, store, share and protect your information when you use our So Brite mobile application, associated smart hardware devices, cloud services, e-commerce website and related support services.

When you purchase our So Brite hardware devices and use the So Brite software and features, the information you provide helps us deliver, maintain and improve our device-related services.

For the purpose of this Privacy Policy, Personal Data means information that can identify an individual, either alone or combined with other available information. We collect Personal Data and Non-Personal Data to deliver and optimize our service experience.

This Privacy Policy applies to all users of our App, devices and online services.

1. What Information We Collect & How We Use It

1.1 Personal Data We Collect

We only collect Personal Data that is necessary for stated service purposes. Where certain data is optional, you may choose not to provide it, though some advanced features may become unavailable.

• So Brite Account Registration & Login To create and manage your So Brite Account, we may collect: your email address or mobile phone number, device identifiers (e.g. IMEI), network information including location area code, mobile network and country code.

Purpose: account authentication, login verification, device binding and account security protection.

• So Brite Product Purchases When you place orders on our e-commerce website, we collect your So Brite Account ID (or email/phone used for account creation), full name, contact phone, delivery address and order details. For after-sales support, logistics delivery, invoice processing and in-person service requests, we may also collect order number, invoice information, purchased item list and your contact details.
• Device Activation During device activation, you may optionally provide demographic information including age, height, weight and gender. You may also voluntarily add profile data such as birthday, profile photo and signature.

This information is optional and only used for personalized device experience.

• Device Data Synchronization When you sync device data to our So Brite Cloud Service, we collect activity and sensor data generated by your So Brite hardware: sleep metrics, motion data, smart alarm records and other device functional data.
• Content Sharing If you share content or invite contacts, you may submit third parties’ personal information (names, emails, phone numbers, mailing addresses for gift delivery).You warrant that you have obtained valid consent from those third parties before submitting their data to us. Shared content may be visible to other invited users.
• Service Operation & Device Diagnostics We collect device metadata: So Brite Device ID, firmware version, operating system version, device model, system information, access IP address and access timestamp.

Purpose: maintain device connectivity, troubleshoot faults, ensure service stability and security.

1.2 How We Use Your Personal Data

We use your Personal Data solely for the purposes listed below:

1. Deliver our products and services, process orders, fulfill contractual obligations, verify identity, prevent fraud and unauthorized use.
2. Develop, test and improve our products and services using aggregated statistical data.
3. Send service notifications, product updates and release announcements.
4. Deliver marketing and promotional communications. You may opt out of marketing emails at any time.
5. Customize product experience, recommend relevant content and invite you to participate in product surveys.
6. Investigate service incidents and quality issues.
7. Manage promotions, lotteries or contests if you voluntarily join these activities.
8. Provide maintenance, monitor software licenses and analyze operational efficiency.

1.3 Non‑Personal / Aggregated Data

Non-Personal Data is anonymized or aggregated information that cannot identify you individually. We collect and use it to operate, analyze and improve our services. This includes:

• Language preference, postal code, area code, time zone and profession, collected during account creation, website registration or surveys.
• Anonymous usage statistics when you join our optional User Experience Improvement Program, including website and App usage logs. In case of crashes or abnormal shutdowns, we collect device diagnostic information for troubleshooting.
• Geographical location data for location-based features (location search, weather, map services).
• Cookies, pixel tags and similar tracking technologies on our website, apps and emails to save preferences, measure email open status and optimize service quality.
• Browser log data: IP address, browser type, system language, referrer URL, operating system, timestamps and click metrics.
• Device unique identifier and approximate geographic information collected on first device activation.

2. Your Rights & Controls Over Your Personal Data

You may manage your privacy preferences, including settings for User Experience Improvement Program, location permission and your So Brite Account.

Access, Correction & Update

You have the right to request access to or correction of your stored Personal Data. We will verify your identity before processing your request. We handle requests in compliance with applicable local laws. We may reject repetitive, unreasonable requests or requests that endanger other users’ privacy. We generally provide this service free of charge and reserve the right to charge a reasonable administrative fee for excessive requests.

Data Deletion Request

You may submit a request to delete your account and associated Personal Data. After processing, we will stop collecting, using or disclosing your Personal Data as requested.

Note: Withdrawal of consent or account deletion may disable So Brite product and service functions for your account. Some residual data may be retained where required by law.

You may withdraw consent for us to collect, use or disclose your Personal Data by submitting a request via the contact email above. Withdrawal of consent may limit or disable certain product features.

3. Sharing & Disclosure of Your Information

We keep your Personal Data confidential except as described in this Privacy Policy. We only share data when you consent, or when legally required.

3.1 Sharing with So-Brite Affiliates & Authorized Third-Party Service Providers

We may share Personal Data with our group affiliates and service providers (logistics carriers, telecom operators, cloud data centers, storage providers, customer support agents) acting on our behalf to deliver the services you requested. These third parties are contractually obligated to protect your Personal Data and comply with applicable privacy laws, including laws in your country/region. We will NOT sell your Personal Data, nor share your Personal Data with third parties for independent marketing purposes.

3.2 Legal Disclosure

We may disclose Personal Data without additional consent if required or permitted by applicable law:

• Required by court order, law enforcement request or regulatory obligation.

• Cloud storage clusters enforce strict access control and column-family permission limits.
• We operate data centers in Beijing and Singapore. Your Personal Data may be transferred and stored at our overseas data facilities. Such cross-border transfer will still be protected under this Privacy Policy.

We use commercially reasonable measures to secure your data, but no online transmission or electronic storage can guarantee absolute security.

5. Scope of this Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy does not apply to third-party products, services, websites or SDKs linked or integrated within our App or hardware. Third parties have their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for their data handling practices. We strongly recommend reviewing their privacy policies.

6. Minors

We do not knowingly collect Personal Data from children under the age of majority. We do not target minors with marketing materials. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a minor has submitted Personal Data without your consent, please contact us at 823966330@qq.com. We will remove the minor’s data and cancel related service subscriptions.

7. Updates to this Privacy Policy

We may revise this Privacy Policy periodically. Material changes will be posted on our official websites. We will notify you of significant updates via in-app notice or email where required. The revised version becomes effective upon publication. Your continued use of the App, device and services after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy. If revisions introduce new purposes for collecting or using your Personal Data, we will obtain fresh consent before such new processing.
